IGNITE Leaders2017-09-07T19:08:34-04:00

Our leaders are committed to Psalm 78:2-4!

From serving in the “Garage Grub” concession stand to teaching the Word of God, our leaders desire to reflect Jesus in all they do. Our calling, as leaders in Ignite, is to love God, live for Jesus, and care about students. The Ignite ministry would not function without these volunteers. Through their consistency, support and love for the next generation, we see God’s work in the hearts and lives of these students. “Say yes to the next generation so that they will say yes to God!”

What exactly is a small group leader? A friend? A parent? A coach? A teacher?

Here’s what we define as a small group leader: A small group leader is anyone who chooses to invest in the lives of a few to encourage authentic faith. Our small group leader team are after the hearts of students to develop authentic faith in Jesus. Our leaders would love to meet you. Check out the volunteer wall in The Garage to meet all of our current Small Group Leaders!
We ask every SGL to do five things:
  1. Be Present: Connect their faith to a community by showing up predictably, mentally, and randomly.
  2. Create a Safe Place: Clarify their faith as they grow by leading the group, respecting the process, and guarding the heart.
  3. Partner with Parents: Nurture an everyday faith by cueing the parent, honoring the parent, and reinforcing the family.
  4. Make it Personal: Inspire their faith by your example by living in community, setting priorities, and being real.
  5. Move Them Out: Engage their faith in a bigger story by moving them to someone else, moving them to be the church, and moving them to what’s next.

We want you to know how much your child means to us!

Background Checks

To ensure safety, we carefully screen each of Ignite volunteers with a background check. We have them complete a detailed application that must be approved by our staff. Every volunteer is interviewed and reviewed before serving the students of Hope.

Driver Checks

Within Ignite, we occasionally travel to offsite locations. In order to ensure the safety during transportation, we run driver checks on all of our eligible drivers for events. If you would like to drive for an upcoming Ignite event, please fill out and submit the Driver Check Form.

“I will teach you hidden lessons from our past- stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about His power and mighty wonders.” Psalm 78:2-4
