Join Us!

In Northeast Ohio, it feels like spring has finally shown up just in time for summer! I want to invite you to join us this Sunday, as we are looking forward to an extra special day packed with food, fellowship, and fun. We will begin with one service at 10:45 AM. If you regularly attend the 9:00 AM service, I hope you will join us at 10:45 for a “combined” service where we will worship together and get to watch members of our church family get baptized. Since this is a family service, there will be no children's programming, so all kids (birth through elementary) are invited into the Worship Center. The "Mommy & Me" Room (room 4) will be stocked with extra toys and snacks for parents with young children if they get too antsy to sit through the service in the Worship Center.

Baptisms provide an awesome opportunity for us to celebrate with our brothers and sisters  who are taking the next step of obedience in their walk with Christ. I have always been fascinated by the fact that Jesus was baptized. It seems like if anyone would get a pass, it would be Jesus. But when He was baptized by John, Jesus modeled the beautiful humility and power that comes when we obey God’s commands. Peter said clearly, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ…” (Acts 2:38a ESV) If you are ready to take the step of obedience to be baptized, please sign up here.

After our 10:45 combined service, we will have a picnic. There will be food and fun for all ages, and an opportunity for us to be together. Please let us know you can join us! Here's the link to the picnic sign-up: RSVP here. We could use some help with activities and clean-up, if you are willing to do so. Here's the link to the volunteer sign-up: Volunteer here

I would also like to invite you to join us tonight! Each Wednesday evening, we have a number of exciting things for you to participate in, including a group that watches and discusses The Chosen, our weekly prayer gathering, and New Heart Recovery ministry. (Next week, on June 11 we are starting a new series for adults on building healthy relationships - find more details here.) Tonight is also the summer kick-off for our Ignite student and Hope Kidz ministries - they are planning a cookout, games, and fun outdoor activities. Join us for one of these fantastic opportunities, beginning with a time of worship at 6:30 PM. It is always a wonderful time together.

Expectantly,

Shawn
