Greetings Hope Church family,
I am guessing that many of you would agree with me that Sundays and Wednesdays are our favorite days of the week. I love the privilege of being with you, studying God’s word together and worshiping with you as a church family.
Unfortunately, in the light of the unprecedented events that have taken place in Ohio over the past few weeks, we also feel a responsibility as loving neighbors to consider the health and wellness of the entire community. At this point, we have made the tremendously difficult decision to cancel our Hope church services out of care and concern for you and our neighbors. Additionally, all other activities at Hope Church are suspended until further notice.
We are grateful for the technology that allows us to plan to worship together via live stream. We will be live streaming services at 9:00am and 11:00am. You can find the live stream on our website: Live Stream.
Additionally, many of you worship by giving, and we are so appreciative. Since we will not be meeting or passing plates this weekend, if you’d like to give online you can do so at this link: Online Giving
We realize that many members of our church family have already been impacted by this unprecedented event. Many of us have been restricted from visiting loved ones in nursing homes, travel plans disrupted, missions trips impacted. Please know that we are praying for you and I want to challenge each one of you to pursue one another to support our church family in this time of need. We also want to get better at sharing needs with one another. Please always feel free to email me at Shawn.firstname.lastname@example.org I love being your Pastor and I along with our Staff and Elder team love you and want to support you through this season. I also would encourage you to share prayer requests and needs to our church family by updating them on our facebook page by clicking here: Hope Facebook prayer requests
At this point, our church offices will remain open for appointments. Our church building will be closed for meetings until further notice as of today March 13, 2020.
We have been evaluating this situation for the past few weeks to determine the best course of action given what we know. As it continues to evolve, we will let you know if our plans adjust and will communicate them on our website, social media, and via email.
Let us pray together for those affected and allow the Lord to use us in our own environments to bring hope and the love of Christ. I wholeheartedly believe with a combination of courage and compassion we can live up to this unique opportunity. This unique challenge, just might have hidden in it some tremendous opportunities for us to be the Church to Brunswick and beyond.
