Safety & Security
Check-In Process – In order to provide the safest environment for your children while in our care, we follow a strict check-in process. When you come for the first time, your child is checked into his/her class at the Children’s Connection Desk. You will receive a name tag for your child and a matching security tag to present to the teacher at pick up time.
Background Checks- We want you to know how much your child means to us. To ensure safety, we carefully screen each of Hope Kidz volunteers with a background check. We have them complete a detailed application that must be approved by our staff. Our volunteers also attend trainings. Many of our Hope Kidz volunteers serve at the same gathering each weekend. This gives them the best opportunity to build a trusting relationship with your child.
Wellness – If your child is sick (or has been sick within the last 48 hours), please keep them at home with you so we do not share the germs. If your child appears sick (goopy eyes, runny nose, fever, productive cough, or diarrhea), we will ask you kindly to keep him/her with you. Please let the teacher know if your child has allergies and appears sick during allergy seasons. We want all children to have the best experience and everyone to stay as healthy as possible.
Safe Place – Our church is in compliance with Safe Place policies. We always have two volunteers in a room together with your children. Females age 18 and older are permitted to do diaper changes and help with toileting the Preschool and Toddlers.
